Fargo-Moorhead 8 Sioux Falls 4

Jairus Richards swatted a three run home run to right field in the first inning to give the RedHawks an early 4-0 lead and they never trailed, winning the rubber game versus their Dakota rivals in Sioux Falls. Jose Sermo also homered in the win, his eighth of the season. The RedHawks pitching staff has struggled, but with the top six in the batting order the RedHawks trot out, it can overcome that in a hurry.

Chicago 14 Winnipeg 7

A seventh inning touchdown for the Bears got the job done as they were able to take down the Bluebombers on Sunday at Impact Field. Jaxx Groshans, one of my favorite guests we had on This Week in the Association, homered twice for the Dogs and raised his batting average to .316

Cleburne 11 Gary SouthShore 2

If you're a Railroaders fan that has a really short memory, you're feeling real good about your ballclub after they tore through the RailCats on Sunday afternoon, winning their only game of their road trip. Frankie Tostado came up huge with a 3-4 day with a home run and six runs batted in to lead the charge for the Roaders.

Lake Country 7 Milwaukee 4

Long balls were the main activity at Kamp Oconomowoc on Sunday afternoon. Ryan Hernandez homered twice his sixth and seventh of the season. But the big blow was landed by Peter Zimmerman, a walkoff three run home run as the DockHounds finished off the sweep of their rivals to the south. With the win, the DockHounds now own the top record in the Amercian Association.

Kansas City 8 Sioux City 4

The Monarchs struck early and often in the first inning to take a 6-0 lead. The big blow was a three run home run by Alvaro Gonzalez who was hitting .194 for the season. Dakota Hudson is pitching his way to a signing with a six shutout inning performance, driving his ERA down to 1.50 picking up his third win of the season. The X's got to within 6-4 in the eighth inning but could not get any closer as the Monarchs pick up the home series win.

Kane County 4 Lincoln 0

The Cougars understood the assignment defeating the Saltdogs 4-0 and doing it in two hours and 18 minutes allowing Cougars broadcaster Conor Clingen to get home early to celebrate his first anniversary with his wife. They also may have been motivated by the bus ride to Cleburne that awaited them after the game. Josh Allen hit the first Cougar home run at Northwest Medicine Field this season. Westin Muir continues his bounce back season throwing six shutout innings to pick up the win.
