All six scheduled games got in on Saturday night, though one was rain shortened.
Sioux City 5 Fargo-Moorhead 4 (10 innings)
I was on hand for a doozy of a game on Saturday night at Lewis and Clark Park. Zac Vooletich singled with the bases loaded in the tenth to deliver a big win for Sioux City. Michael Hallquist had two triples for the RedHawks. Austin Davis had the only home run of the game, a two run shot in the second inning.
Sioux Falls 15 Kansas City 10
The Canaries and Monarchs had an old fashioned Birdcage shootout. The Canaries led 12-3 after three innings before the Monarchs put up seven runs to make it a two run game, but the Canaries pulled away for three more to pull away. Jabari Henry homered twice, his 18th and 19th and drove in five runs. Matt Ruiz went deep for the sixth time and drove in four runs from the bottom of the order. Calvin Estrada chipped in with his 17th home run. Robbie Glendinning drove in five runs including a two run double, a two run home run, his 16h.
Milwaukee 4 Kane County 0 (five innings)
Mitchell Sanford hit a three run home run and Matt Walker threw five shutout innings as the Milkmen win a rain shortened game.
Lake Country 4 Chicago 2
The DockHounds win their fifth in a row and expand their lead in the East defeated the Dogs. In a rarity, neither team homered at Kamp Oconomowoc. Newly reacquired Chavez Young led the way with three runs batted in for the Hounds. Brett Conine picked up his third win allowing one run in seven innings to pick up his third win.
Winnipeg 8 Lincoln 7
Ray-Patrick Didder homered and drove in three runs to lead the Goldeyes attack as they knock off Lincoln 8-7 at Blue Cross Park. Matthew Warkentin also drove in three to help the Goldeyes cause. Spencer Henson went 4-4 with three runs driven in for the Saltdogs.
Gary SouthShore 9 Cleburne 2
The RailCats took their fourth in a row at La Moderna Field. The RailCats put up three in the fourth inning and drove in four in the eighth. Dawson Lane picked up the win throwing six shutout innings. Nick Ultsch drove in three runs and Olivier Basabe knocked in a pair for the RailCats.
