The first full week of August baseball commenced with five games, three walkoff winners and a rainout on Tuesday night.

A night after being no hit by the Cougars, the DockHounds got back on track hitting three home runs (Daunte Stuart, Ryan Hernandez, Freddy Rojas Jr.) to defeat the Cougars at Kamp Oconomowoc. Luke Hansel earned his ninth win going seven innings allowing four runs, three earned. The Cougars were down 6-2 at one time but could not quit complete the comeback. Shawn Goosenberg homered in his Cougars debut.

Sioux Falls 5 Winnipeg 4

A day after an easy Winnipeg win handed the Canaries their third loss in the row, the Birds bounced back, winning on a walkoff double by Jordan Barth. Calvin Estrada homered and went 3-5 with two runs batted in for the Canaries. Cole Lalonde started for the first time in his pro career throwing four innings, only allowing a run. Could he end up being a badly needed rotation piece for the Canaries.

Cleburne 6 Gary SouthShore 5

A Dustin Peterson double scored Steven Rivas in the ninth inning as the Railroaders rallied from a four run fifth inning deficit to defeat the RailCats at La Moderna Field. Peterson drove in three runs for the Railroaders. The top five batters in the RailCats order all had two hit nights.

Sioux City 10 Milwaukee 9 (11 innings)

In a game where Milwaukee was going to literally walk away with a win after Explorers pitchers walked seven Milkmen, the Explorers rallied to tie the game and go into extras. With a runner on second base in the eleventh, a D'Shawn Knowles bunt was thrown away allowing the winning run to score. Delvin Perez and Chase Estep collected three hits for the Milkmen. Knowles and Landen Barns had three hits apiece for the Explorers.
