American Associaition Insider: August 23, 2025 plus Power Rankings.

All six games on the penultimate Saturday of the American Association season. The rich got richer today as Chicago dealt Brantley Bell to Kansas City and Jairus Richards gets dealt from Gary SouthShore to manager Jeff Isom's buddy Chris Coste and Fargo-Moorhead.

Milwaukee 6 Gary SouthShore 5

Chase Estep drove in three runs and Kaden Hollow had a home run and three runs driven in to lead the Milkmen to a come from behind win over Gary SouthShore at U.S. Steel Yard. Cooper Weiss and L.J. Castillo both homered for the RailCats.

Kane County 6 Lake Country 3

The Cougars jumped out to a 6-0 and held off the first place DockHounds, handing them their eighth straight loss. Marcus Chiu had three hits including a solo home run, and Oscar Santos homered for the Cougars. Jake Stevenson picked up the win with 5.2 innings of one hit, no run ball. Ray Zuberer III and Chavez Young homered late in the game for the DockHounds.

Sioux Falls 5 Sioux City 3

Tanner Brown held the Explorers to two runs in seven innings and struck out 11 for his sixth win. Jabari Henry had a two run home run to give the Canaries a lead they would never relinquish. Henry George had three of the Explorers seven hits for the game.

Fargo-Moorhead 17 Chicago 1

Chicago had the look of a team that traded away one of their best players the last two seasons. The Dogs only mustered three hits at home at Impact Field and were blown away on the power of a ten run eighth inning for the RedHawks. The top three batters for the RedHawks went 10-14 with 11 runs batted in for the night. Lamar Sparks (4-6) Eric Filia (3-3) and Jose Sermo (3-5, 1 HR, 6 RBI). Dillon Thomas and Andy Nelson also homered for the RedHawks. Tyler Jandron allowed one run on one hit in seven innings to pick up his seventh win.

Lincoln 6 Winnipeg 2

The Saltdogs jumped to a 6-0 lead after three innings and cruised from there defeating the Goldeyes at Blue Cross Park. Jhon Vargas allowed two runs in five innings versus his former club to pick up first win in nearly two months.

Kansas City 5 Cleburne 0

Josh Hendrickson threw eight shutout innings to pick up his ninth win and Robbie Glendinning drove in three runs as the Monarchs crept within four games of first place Sioux City at La Moderna Field.
