American Association Insider: July 3, 2025
Compare to a week or so ago, it's been a dry spell in the Midwest and once again it was a full schedule of American Association games on Thursday night.

The Dogs were putting up threes like they were Michael Jordan. The Dogs put up three runs in the fourth, eighth and ninth innings and won the game going away at Kamp Oconomowoc. Dusty Stroup and Reggie Pruitt Jr. each collected three hits. Pruitt Jr. Kyle Schmack, Jacob Teter, and Chance Sisco with two all homered for the Dogs. Jeff Lindgren, the June Pitcher of the Month started July like he left June allowing just one run in seven innings of work. Aaron Hill collected three of the DockHounds seven hits.

Lincoln 4 Sioux Falls 2
The Saltdogs scored single runs in four of the first five innings and made it work to break their four game losing streak. Neyfy Castillo homered for the Saltdogs, Castillo after a slow start to the season has hits in the eight of his last ten games and now has seven home runs. Keep an eye out for him in the second half. Plus today on KSCJ I predicted the Saltdogs will be a playoff team, no pressure guys. Greg Loukinen labored through five innings to pick up his fourth win. Canaries pitcher Ryan Zimmerman after a gave a career eulogy after being released in late May has came back and allowed only four runs in 15 innings in ten games after being re signed.
