American Association Insider: July 29, 2025

Five of the six games were completed on Tuesday night with one of the five being rain shortened.

Kane County 5 Chicago 2

In an early start, the Dogs could not keep the Cougars out of Impact Field, as the Cougars behind two run singles by Trendon Craig and Marcus Chiu and six innings of one run ball by Vin Timpanelli defeated the Dogs. As I was alerted to by Dogs play by play broadcaster Aaron Shelan, Chance Sisco had a 32 game on base streak going into the game, but went 0-4 to end it.

Fargo-Moorhead 4 Winnipeg 2

Kyle Crigger nearly went the distance, going 8.2 innings to help defeat the Goldeyes 4-2 at Blue Cross Park. Jose Sermo went 3-5 and Dillon Thomas along with Nicholas Northcut both homered for the RedHawks. Roby Enriquez went 3-4 with a double and both runs batted in for the Saltdogs. The RedHawks now own the league's longest winning streak at five games.

Lake Country 6 Cleburne 0

Connor Fenlong in his third start of the season after 15 relief outings, threw seven shutout innings allowing two hits as the DockHounds defeated the Railroaders at Kamp Oconomowoc. Ryan Hernandez homered twice for the Dockhounds. Brian O'Keefe connected for his fourth home run in 11 games as it looks like the DockHounds found another veteran slugger.

Gary SouthShore 2 Sioux Falls 0 (5 innings)

Time was not on the Canaries side as the game was called off just after becoming an official game. Joe Suozzi's two run double was the only scoring of the game. Deyni Olivero picked up his second win throwing five shutout innings. It was Olivero's first win since May 15 in spite of a 3.21 ERA for the season.

Sioux City vs. Kansas City (suspended)

The rains hit Sioux City in the fifth inning with the game tied at one. So they will pick it up tomorrow at 5 pm, with, as usual, the second game following the first. That will be a seven inning affair. For those not crystal clear on the rule. If a game is postponed before four and a half innings with the home team winning or five if the road team leads, the game is to be completed as a nine inning game with a seven inning game to follow. If the game is suspended after five innings with a tie score, the game is completed to nine innings with the regular game also going nine innings.

Milwaukee 12 Lincoln 4

The bats stayed as hot as a Lincoln Summer night for the Milkmen as they slugged their way to a 12-4 win at Haymarket Park. The Saltdogs have now scored 53 runs in the last four games, all wins. Scott Ota and Delvin Perez both had 4-6 nights at the top of the Milkmen order. Baron Radcliff drove in three runs including a two run home run in the ninth inning. The Milkmen suffered a blow to the bullpen as All Star reliever Denny Bentley has been signed to the Mexican League.
