Gary SouthShore 13 Lake Country 2

The RailCats had the offense rolling today. The RailCats scored three in the second inning. Two were scored on a two RBI double by Jairus Richards that saw DockHounds left fielder Brian Rey collide with the outfield wall. Rey ended up being stretchered off the field. Best wishes to Rey, hope to see him back on the field soon. The RailCats pulled away in the fifth scoring six runs on their way to a lopsided win. Lake Country was already playing short having lost Imanol Vargas to Mexico and had to lose their DH after Rey left the game. Newcomer Ernesto Zaragoza got the win going six innings allowing two runs. Richards drove in four runs while Cooper Edwards drove in five runs. Jake Guenther and Ernny Ordonez each had three hits.
