Six games on a hot Friday night throughout the American Association
Chicago 7 Gary SouthShore 2
The Dogs remained hot, taking down the RailCats in the series opener at Impact Field. Proving what I've always said, dogs are superior to cats. Jacob Teter went 2-4 with four runs batted in, and Brantley Bell added a solo home run for the Dogs, his seventh of the season. Connor Curlis earned his fourth win of the season throwing five shutout innings allowing three hits.
Lake Country 12 Milwaukee 6
The DockHounds used the big inning to defeat the Milkmen scoring four in the fourth and six in the sixth inning. Brian Rey homered as part of a four hit night, driving in two runs. Demitrius Sims homered and drove in two runs while Adam Cootway homered for the first time as a DockHound in his third game with Lake Country. Erik Ostberg hit a grand slam, his eighth home run of the season and Chase Estep hit his second of the season.
Sioux Falls 6 Fargo-Moorhead 1
The Canaries took a 2-0 lead early and pulled away late with a four run sixth to defeat the RedHawks in what may have been the sweetest themed jerseys worn in the American Association thus far in 2025 on Country night at the Birdcage. Thomas Dorminy outdueled Kolby Kiser allowing a run in six innings of work to go to a perfect 5-0 for the season. Kiser was impressive allowing only two runs in his six innings of work.

Sioux City 8 Winnipeg 0
Zach Willeman took a no hitter into the seventh inning to pick up his fourth win and the Explorers provided more than enough support in a shutout victory at Shaw Park. Willeman went seven innings allowing just the one hit. Josh Day was a catalyst going 2-5 with three runs scored. D'Shawn Knowles hit his second home run of the season as part of a five run sixth inning that gave Willeman more than enough run support.
Lincoln 17 Kane County 7
In a game that the Cougars once led 4-1, the Saltdogs scored a combined a combined 15 runs in the sixth and seventh innings. Josh Allen, Tripp Clark as part of a 3-5 night and C.J. Valdez all homered for the Cougars. The Saltdogs got home runs from Danny Bautista Jr. and Kyle Battle, his eighth as part of a four RBI night. Catcher Max Hewitt in his first game this season went 3-4 with three runs batted in. John Vargas persevered and got his second win in three starts going six innings allowing four runs.
Kansas City 10 Cleburne 5
Those plucky upstart Monarchs got their first win of the week scoring 10 runs and holding the veteran laden Railroaders lineup to five runs to pick up the win at La Moderna Field. Youngster Jorge Bonifacio had three hits and scored a pair of runs and relative newcomer Josh Bissonette in only his fifth season of baseball collected three hits to raise his average to .357. Wily veteran slugger Kyle Martin homered twice for the Railroaders and now has 15 for the season. Julian Garcia got the win in his second consecutive 13 strikeout effort. Miraculous considering the lineup he went up against.
