 Chicago 5 Milwaukee 3

If there is a Wikipedia page for the Milwaukee Milkmen, I'm expecting a Chicago Dogs fan to go on it and change the team owners to the Chicago Dogs, as the Dogs have now defeated Milwaukee in all four meetings this season. John Baker got the win allowing three runs in 5.2 innings as the Dogs took the lead for good with three runs in the top of the sixth. Alex McGarry went deep twice for the Dogs driving in three runs for the night. Glenn Santiago extended his hitting streak to 24 games for the Milkmen.

Winnipeg 9 Sioux Falls 3

The Goldeyes took a 6-1 lead after five innings and did not look back defeating the Canaries at Blue Cross Park. The loss ended a six game road winning streak for the Canaries. Max Murphy (8) and Tanner O'Tremba (3) homered for the home team while Peter Zimmerman connected on his seventh home run for the Canaries. Zimmerman has now homered in five of his last eight games. Landen Bourassa picked up the win allowing two runs in 5.2 innings of work to pick up his fourth win.

Lincoln 7 Lake Country 3

In a bit of a stunner, the Saltdogs led all the way in defeating Lake Country, the East Division leaders, at Kamp Oconomowoc. Kyle Battle and Rolando Espinosa both homered for the Saltdogs. Johnny Blake was the recipient of the run support, throwing seven innings allowing a single run on four hits picking up his second win of the season. The outing was the longest of the sesason for Blake.

Cleburne 10 Kansas City 6

It was not a good night to be a division leader as the West leading Monarchs fell to the Railroaders at La Moderna Field. The teams combined for eight home runs, four a piece. Dustin Peterson, Aaron Altherr, Andres Sosa and Korry Howell went deep for Cleburne. Sosa and Howell, the bottom two batters in the Railroaders lineup went a combined 6-8 with six runs batted in. Ross Adolph with two, Robbie Glendinning, and Blake Rutherford all homered for Kansas City who was dealt a blow when Isiah Gilliam had his contract transferred to the Mexican League. Kade Mechals in the midst of the fireworks still managed a quality start picking up his fourth win of the season.

Sioux City 7 Fargo-Moorhead 5

The X's used a four run fourth inning to take the lead for good to pick up the win at Newman Outdoor Field. A two run single by Kurtis Byrne highlighted the fourth inning for the X's. Henry George went 2-5 with two runs batted in for the Explorers. Keep an eye out for George as he is a front runner for rookie of the year. George is now batting .347. Felix Cepeda picked up his ninth save throwing a scoreless ninth striking out one batter. Cepeda now leads the league in saves for pitchers currently active in the American Association, only trailing departed Alex DuBord. Speaking of which, starting pitcher Greg Minier has followed DuBord to the Mexican League leaving behing a gaping hole in the RedHawks rotation.
