I was covering an amateur baseball game on yet another chilly Minnesota night, so I didn't watch any of the league games live so this will be a bare bones recap for tonight.

Milwaukee 9 Sioux Falls 4

Jabari Henry homered for the Canaries and is now within one home run of tying Reggie Abercrombie's all time home run record. But that was the lone highlight for the Canaries as the Milkmen scored nine runs between the second and fourth innings to win in front of 978 at Franklin Field, Jefry Marte had a big night for the Milkmen as he homered twice and drove in four runs in the win.

Chicago 6 Lincoln 1

John Baker allowed a run on three hits and struck out nine as the Dogs defeated Lincoln 6-1 in front of 3827 at Impact Field. Brantley Bell homered as part of a three hit night as the Dogs made the most of the seven hits overall in the victory.

Kansas City 9 Lake Country 4

You can't win very often in Vegas with a pair of fours, but you can win lots of ballgames that way. The Monarchs scored four in both the sixth and seventh in a victory at Legends Field in front of 2978. A solid turnout when you consider the Savannah Bananas were playing at Kauffman Stadium in front of a full house. Ross Adolph, Robbie Glendinning and Jhailyn Ortiz all homered for the Monarchs and Isiah Gilliam raised his average to .465 with a 3-4 night.

Gary SouthShore 5 Winnipeg 2

1982 at Blue Cross Park left shocked as the RailCats earned just their third win of the season in a game in which they never trailed. Chris Erwin and four RailCat relievers held the Goldeyes to eight hits and struck out eight in the game. Watch for for Jairus Richards and the league stolen base record as the RailCats centerfielder has swiped ten stolen bases in ten games played.

Cleburne 4 Kane County 3

A great Friday night crowd of 3010 at the Pasta Bowl saw the Railroaders jump out to a 4-0 lead and withstand a three run rally by the Cougars to earn the one run win. The first four games of the series has seen the Railroaders take all four games. All have been tight games with three games being decided by one run and another by only a run.

Fargo Moorhead at Sioux City PPD Rain

The two bitter rivals will have to wait a night to resume their rivalry with a doubleheader on Saturday night.
