Because of a rainout in Lincoln, it ended up being a two game Memorial Day on Monday. I hope everyone took time to remember the vets who served and sacrificed defending our country to give us the freedoms we enjoy today.
Milwaukee 7 Sioux Falls 3
The Canaries cannot get out of Wisconsin fast enough. With the loss today, the Canaries ended a 2-5 trip to Lake Country and Milwaukee. The Milkmen jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first, highlighted by a two run Jailyn Davis double. The Canaries had the lead cut down to 3-2, but the Milkmen scored three more, thanks in part to a Chase Estep two run double. Glenn Santiago drove in the other three Milkmen runs as part of a 2-4 effort.
Fargo Moorhead 3 Gary SouthShore 2
In a workmanlike effort by the RedHawks, they scored a run in the fourth and two in the fifth. That was all Tyler Jandron needed as he was lights out, striking out 10, allowing a run on five hits in 6.1 innings pitched. Alex DuBord picked up his eighth save. Marshall Schuler of Gary SouthShore picked up 34 saves in 2014. DuBord is on pace to obliterate that record. DuBord is also within 21 of Victor Capellan's all time career save number of 83.
